How the manufacturing industry is performing.
In the 2021-2022 period, Australia’s manufacturing industry grew by a very healthy 17.8%, equivalent to $7.6b, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ latest Australian Industry release.
With this growth in economic activity, wages and salaries improved by 5.6% ($3.4b), while new jobs were created for 30,000 people (an additional 3.6% to the over 800,000 people already working in the industry).
This release is extremely positive news for existing and new employers and job seekers in manufacturing.
