Projected growth in architecture roles.
The professional occupation group is projected to grow at the second-highest rate in Australia in the years leading up to 2026. Second only to the health care and social assistance industry, professional occupations will grow by 209,000 jobs, or 20.5% of its current size, according to the National Skills Commission.
Employment is projected to grow strongly for Architectural, Building and Surveying Technicians, by 8,800 or 11.9%. As a Skill Level 1 occupation, Architects are extremely well positioned to find work in the next few years; 52.6% of all growth across all industries is comprised of roles requiring high skills, like those of Architects.
