New Build Fuel Tanks

Exciting Opportunities for Skilled Trades Assistants for constructing Fuel Tanks and Fuel Trailers modification. Our client, a leading Australian Manufacturer of Fuel Tanks and Fuel Trailers, is seeking skilled trade assistants to join their workshop team in the Derrimut area of Melbourne.

$42.50 per hour N/T + Super & O/T & $27 Per Day Travel
(Weekly Pay)

Responsibilities: In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Workshop Manager and perform a wide range of fitting work. Your tasks will include but are not limited to, installation and maintenance of electrical and pump equipment and handling hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

You will be involved in various areas of the build process, contributing to producing high-quality fuel tanks and fuel trailers.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Experience as a Trades Assistant or in a similar fitting role.
  • Proficiency in electrical and pump equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • The ability to work effectively under the guidance of the Workshop Manager.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and precise work.

It is beneficial that the successful candidate has the following skills:
  • Safely operate power tools
  • Offside Trades (Mostly Mechanical Fitters and boilermakers) 
  • Ability to prioritise work tasks 
  • Able to work unsupervised 
  • Hold a mechanical aptitude
  • Have a basic understanding of hydraulics & pneumatic (Desirable)
  • Good working knowledge of OHS
  • Hold a mechanical aptitude
