Skilled Trade Assistant

TRS Resourcing is currently screening for suitable experienced Trades Assistant for the fit-out of trucks trailers for our Client's day shift based in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. 
  
Reporting to the Workshop Manager the successful Trades Assistant will work on a range of different areas of the trailer build that will include

Duties:
  • Safely Handling Power Tools  
  • Installing electrical harness, lights, plugs and sockets to newly built semi-trailers
  • Fitting cab truck switch controls, running wiring to the truck dashboard to operate tipping equipment and accessories.
  • Fitting lights, electrics components to new build truck bodies and tipper trailers
It is beneficial that the successful candidate has the following:
  • Have sound knowledge of heavy vehicles and plant equipment,
  • Has an understanding of basic hydraulics & pneumatic brake kits (Ideally)
  • Have the ability to learn correct procedures & processes
  • Good working knowledge of OS&H
  • Hold a mechanical aptitude.

  • Based already in Melbourne Victoria.
  • Have the correct right to work in Australia
Given the nature of this position, at this stage, we can only review candidates that hold suitable experience with the Automotive and or Industrial Equipment sectors. 

However, full training will be provided for this position.
