Mechanical Fitters Antarctic Fuel Tanker Project

 Our client is an industry leader in commercial fuel pumping, bunded fuel tanks and tanker trailer maintenance. TRS Resourcing has been working with this client for some time, and due to the specifications of this Antarctic Fuel Tanker Project, we need to increase the workforce of qualified Mechanical Fitters for our client's day shift that can also do basic welding. 

These Mechanical Fitters will work on the final assembly and commissioning of commercial fuel tanks built to a strict specification / Australian Standard. They will be sent to the Australian base in the Antarctic as part of their new Fuel Storage.

This position is being offered on a Contract Hourly Rate with the view of going Full Time after a 26 Week Placement.

Pay: $55.00 Per Hour Labour Hire NT + Super, OT & $27 Per Day Travel

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Running pneumatic airlines and mounting componentry
  • Completing Final Commissioning
  • Set out and interpret workshop/engineering drawings
  • Have the ability to prioritise work tasks
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Hold a mechanical aptitude
