Mechanical Fitter

Join an Industry Leader in the Packaging industry; we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Fitter at our client's workshop in Thomastown.

Our client is a renowned name in the packaging industry, and they are looking to expand their workforce. This is a six-month temp-to-perm role with the potential for long-term employment.

These positions are offered on a competitive contract hourly rate, with different rates depending on the shift worked: $55.00 per hour for the day shift, $63.25 per hour for the afternoon shift, and $71.50 per hour for the night shift.

In addition, a $27 per day travel allowance is provided. Immediate start is available! As a Mechanical Fitter in this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining various equipment, including automated machinery and conveyors.

Your ability to set out and interpret workshop/engineering drawings and your aptitude for prioritizing work tasks will be key. Ideally, you should also possess a forklift license and mechanical aptitude.

  • Hold a trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting.
  • Possess your hand tools, as specialist tools will be supplied.
