Auto Electrician

TRS Resourcing has been asked to source and screen suitable trade-qualified Auto Electricians for installing internal and external mobile computing hardware on heavy vehicles, light vehicles and forklifts. 

The head office is based in the inner city (queens road), but this is an onsite position. Our client is looking for a suitable auto electrician for field-based work installing comms systems, antennas, power supplies, mounting brackets, cameras and more on heavy and light vehicles. 

This is a full-time permanent position with a starting rate between $37-$40 per hour + Super and over time, with plenty of overtime and weekend work. You will also be offered a company van and tools. 

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Reading electrical circuits
  • Fault-finding electrical and mechanical issues
  • Service, repair and maintain the electrical requirements of all relevant standards and road transport guidelines
  • Ensure vehicle pre/post checklists are completed
  • Set out and interpret workshop/engineering drawings
  • Have the ability to prioritise work tasks
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Hold a mechanical aptitude
