I definitely wouldn\u2019t have predicted I\u2019d be writing this with a baby on the way!<\/p>\n<p>This pregnancy was an amazing and wonderful surprise, and if I\u2019m being honest, it\u2019s been a whirlwind of emotions, from excitement and curiosity to the very real nerves that come with the unknown. But through it all, I\u2019ve been deeply grateful for the support I\u2019ve received, from my family, the team at work, my clients, and the\u00a0amazing\u00a0culture we\u2019ve built at TRS.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0f75bc;\">Pregnancy in a People-Focused Role<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As a recruiter, I spend my days helping people\u00a0throughout the transitions in their own careers. It\u2019s a job that\u00a0requires empathy, strategy, and the ability to see the big picture. Now, I find myself living through one of the biggest transitions of my\u00a0own\u00a0life.\u00a0It\u2019s humbling and, at times, surreal.<\/p>\n<p>Working from home has been such a gift during this chapter.\u00a0It\u2019s allowed me to stay connected and productive while also tuning into my needs of and my growing baby (and let\u2019s be real, sneaking in those much-needed snack breaks and naps!).<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve found a new rhythm; one that\u2019s more forgiving, more flexible,\u00a0but still focused and purposeful.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s really struck me is how empowering it feels to be trusted.\u00a0My clients have been incredible, supportive, understanding, and kind. They ask how I\u2019m doing;\u00a0they\u00a0cheer me on, and\u00a0they\u2019ve reminded\u00a0me that business is personal. People matter. And in recruitment, relationships are everything.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0f75bc;\">Preparing for Maternity Leave with Purpose and Pride<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As I prepare to\u00a0step away on\u00a0maternity leave, I\u2019ve been focused on setting up my desk and my clients for success. I care deeply about\u00a0the work we do, and I want this transition to feel smooth. I\u2019ve also had some reflective moments; realising that for all the effort I put into supporting others through change, I now get to practice what I preach: letting go, trusting the process, and embracing the unknown with\u00a0a little bit of\u00a0grace.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know\u00a0exactly\u00a0what motherhood will look like for me, but I do know this: I\u2019m proud of what I\u2019ve built, both in my career and now, quite literally, in life. And I\u2019ll be back, with new stories, new perspectives, and probably a\u00a0whole\u00a0new level of multitasking skills!<\/p>\n<p>To my fellow recruiters, working mums, and women on\u00a0their own\u00a0unique paths: you\u2019ve got this.
