Everything they could want to watch was on TV. Do they watch it? Not really. As Tavis explains, &#8220;It&#8217;s like having the radio on in the background. It&#8217;s about offering opportunities that make the office somewhere people want to be.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0f75bc;\">Finding the Sweet Spot<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Of course, this doesn&#8217;t mean rolling over and giving in to every single employee&#8217;s demand. &#8220;I&#8217;m not saying just lean into whatever employees ask for,&#8221; Tavis clarifies. &#8220;There&#8217;s got to be a balance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The key is creating an environment where people feel:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0f75bc;\">Valued for their contributions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0f75bc;\">Connected to their colleagues and the company<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0f75bc;\">That coming to work isn&#8217;t a chore<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0f75bc;\">The Bottom Line<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When you weigh up the cost of continuously replacing staff against investing in creating a positive workplace, the maths is pretty clear.
